First thing to go (other than the motor) was the tinted tail lights and stickers. The engine was burning a quart of oil a week when I bought, so a replacement engine was found from a part out on another board Link. Of course then we found out the cause was the catalytic converter on the passenger side had failed, so it was replaced. The shop said the other one looked fine, of course that turned out to be untrue, and the "new" engine lasted the summer before it suffered the same fate. This time I drove it till it literally blew up.
I've since replaced the engine again (myself) and will detail the process I went through, hopefully it helps someone in the future.
